A Brief History
Dr. Hernán Flores-Carlos begins his apprenticeship and practice with Dr. Ross Hauser in 2001.
He attends the workshops, organized in Thebes, Illinois by Dr. Hauser, where he practices Prolotherapy and treats approximately 500 patients during each workshop.
In 2006 he takes a course at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and continues his practice as an instructor at the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation until 2010.
He is also an instructor at the famous workshop in Honduras that exists for more than 45 years and where, each year, 50 physicians treat more than 3000 patients.
He gets introduced to Dr. Jeff Paterson who teaches him promptly the standardized and the advanced techniques of Prolotherapy. In 2006 he gets invited by Dr. David de la Mora to the workshop in Guadalajara. During this workshop, organized together with the Hacket-Hemwall Foundation, approximately 1,000 patients each year are being treated. Doctor Hernan Flores has been working in this workshop since the workshop started to this date. He has given lectures at National and International Congresses on Prolotherapy.
Young Dr. Wajid Burad Fonz starts practicing Prolotherapy in 2010, right after completing his training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
In 2011 he joins the workshop in Honduras as one of the instructors, where his career in learning and teaching Prolotherapy starts.
He attends multiple courses organized by the American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM), participates as an organizer of workshop in Monterrey and works as an instructor in the workshop in Guadalajara.
Dr. Wajid Burad Fonz is, together with American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM), founder of the workshop in Cancun.
He is also an expert in musculoskeletal ultrasound guided procedures like Hydrodissections of nerves, fascia and application of Prolotherapy, Platelet-Rich Plasma and Stem Cells in any joint of the body.
Inspired with the Hackett-Hemwall’s foundation and Dr. Jeff Patterson’s philosophy of prolotherapy, he decides to share his knowledge in Mexico and together with Dr. Tyna Moore and Dr. Hernan Flores he organizes workshops in Valladolid and Monterrey, with endorsement of the College of Rehabilitation Medicine of Monterrey and the Mexican Federation of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Manuel Lizarraga, Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Amelia Flores specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine and Dr. Tyna Moore from Portland, USA, Naturopath and doctor of Osteopathic Medicine are incorporated as teachers in the courses and workshops.
